About Dental Implants

At Pristine Dental Group, we understand just how hard it can be to live with missing teeth, as well as how important it is to offer our patients long-term, natural-looking replacement options.

Dental implants are the gold standard when it comes to replacing teeth. Offering the most natural-looking, stable, and secure solution possible, at Pristine Dental Group, our team of experts can use dental implants to replace just one missing tooth, or up to a whole arch of teeth.

Made up of a small, biocompatible titanium screw that is placed into the jaw to act as a replacement for the natural tooth root, and a crown or prosthetic that is supported in place on top, dental implants can mimic the appearance and function of a natural tooth almost perfectly.

Thanks to our experience and exceptional skills, the team at Pristine Dental Group are also able to offer implant options to many patients who have been referred to us from other practices. We are also often able to treat any patients who have previously been told they might be an unsuitable candidate for dental implants due to the health of their jawbone or bone loss issues.

Your treatment journey

Every treatment journey will be tailored to each individual patient, but can be broken up into three stages.

1. Consultation & assessment

We’ll go over your dental health history, perform an oral exam, and talk you through all your options. We’ll take advanced 3D CBCT and intra-oral scans of your mouth, so we have a full view of your current dental health and create a detailed and precise treatment plan.

2. Procedure day

We’ll carefully remove any teeth that need extraction, and expertly place your new implants. Temporary prosthetic teeth may also be placed, so you have full use of your teeth while your jaw and mouth heal. Local anaesthetic ensures you won’t feel a thing during the procedure, but if you are particularly nervous or have anxiety surrounding dental treatment, we do also have sedation options available.

3. Final fit

Roughly 12 weeks after having your implants fitted, you’ll come back in to have your personal prosthesis fitted. We’ll first take a scan to make sure your implants have successfully fused with the jawbone, and then we’ll be able to fit your bespoke-crafted, personal prosthesis.

I had a dental clean, while the hygienist was working on me I already knew I was going to come back for another clean. Hygienist recommended coming back after 6 months I will definitely will be back. The atmosphere is good, calm and clean. They accommodated me even though I was running a bit late. Nice interior and smells good too. They had a TV on the ceiling too 😅 which I thought was really helpful for distraction.
